The GeForce 7800GTX has barely enough power to push 4x AA and 16x AF in F.E.A.R at 1024 x 768, so we doubt higher resolutions will be better, even with SLI. But if you look closely, you can see SLI 8x has about the same level of minimum frame rates as 4x, although average frame rates are lower. If only 2x or 2xQ is possible with SLI antialiasing - we can have 4x quality with slightly higher frame rates.

Quake 4 is proof that SLI 8x can come very close to 4x performance levels. In fact, its even faster in higher resolutions (1600 x 1200). Obviously, 8xS results are nowhere near SLI 8x - in fact, maximum frame rates with 8xS can barely match the average frame rates of SLI 8x.
